The benefits of our Homeowners Association:

One of the best things about living in Sierra Canyon is you can relax knowing your community will keep on looking as beautiful as the day you first saw it. That's because your Homeowners Association (HOA) dues help pay for maintaining your community's common areas and amenities. Not only does that help protect your property values, it ensures you'll always be proud to call Sierra Canyon your home.

Common Questions

Who operates the golf course?: Somersett Master Association

Are all the community activities included in the fees?: Some activities do require a fee.

Does the HOA have a Reserve fund?: Yes. Reserve funds are maintained for future repair and replacement of assets that the HOA has long-term responsibility for, and are essential to a successful community. Reserves do not fund everyday expenses or more routine needs; the operating fund serves that.

Does the HOA maintain all the amenities?: Yes, with omission of Master Somersett Association responsibilities.

Does the HOA have a community newsletter or intranet site for residents?:
Yes. We have a website and a village life newsletter emailed quarterly, or for pickup at the Aspen Lodge. In addition we have a private website, for resident’s only, where they can access information ranging from board minutes & actions, to a full calendar of HOA, & Resident Group activities. The website also includes a classified section, news and events, list of resources, and photo gallery.

Is there a process in place to get a Resident Group chartered?: Yes. We currently have over 35 approved Resident Groups. We have Resident Group applications and guidelines available at The Aspen Lodge, which outlines the process for chartering a new Interest Group.

What are the rules for visiting grandchildren?: Sierra Canyon encourages residents to invite friends and family to visit them. Residents may have guests stay at their home for a period of sixty cumulative days throughout the calendar year. Residents may accompany their guests to The Aspen Lodge as often as desired. Guests of residents may use The Aspen Lodge facilities for a small fee if unaccompanied.  We also encourage residents to bring their grandchildren to enjoy the community pool-- daily from 2pm-4pm year-round.

Are there activities for visiting grandchildren?: Limited activities based on age. If children are 16 and over they can use the fitness center. Children can join resident group activities, with permission.
