SUN CITY Rulz :)
Since moving to Sun City in October 2012 we are now living the dream of living in a tropical paradise! Biking at the beach is something never available to us before where we lived in Central PA. Biking, golf, tennis, pickelball, billiards and boccee ball are things we love doing at a moments notice with minimal planning...just wonderful! Having the workout equipment and pools are a big plus to our fitness program and feel we 10 years younger already. Best choice to move here after being in the same house for 30 years for our retirement dreams, couldn't have worked out better.

not sure what you want here.
I would like the gate people to be more professional. They often have casual comments with guests and make inappropriate remakrs.
If possible, please do not close the tennis courts until one hour before a fireworks event and would apprecate the courts staying open for the big garage sale. Many of us work and the weekend is the only time we can play tennis.

Sun City Hilton Head a Fine Place to Liv
Sun City Hilton Head would be even more stellar if accommodations would be made to help ill, therapy-burdened, handicapped, and elderly single residents travel to critical destinations, such as pharmacies, grocers, healthcare appointments, and shopping. How can we ignore that Sun City residents age and face health issues? It would be a wonderful benefit if service shuttles and bus service would be permitted to help residents meet doctor appointments and obtain basic living supplies in times of need. Sun City should allow and encourage shuttle services. This would only enhance our community, not detract from it.

There is no place on earth I'd rather be
I have met wonderful neighbors who like me do not just want to sit around the house - there are so many things to do and I have such fun each time I do something that I can not imagine being happier! Have many many new things I would like to try - just not enough time to do them all!! There are also many who just love staying home in this safe and friendly environment! and that works for them too!

We're happy here. There is something for everyone. The new models are nice but are built too close together. It cheapens the appearance. The original side has more originality. The clubhouse in the new area is lovely as are the other amenities.

The best decision we ever made!
Moving to Sun City Hilton Head was the best decision my husband and I have ever made! We absolutely love our house (Surrey Crest Loft) and the Sun City Hilton Head community. The Bluffton area is great with its proximity to Hilton Head (and its beaches), Beaufort and Savannah too. Our neighbors all seem like the nicest people on earth. The activities available (art, golf, book clubs, movies and shows, pool and fitness centers, etc.)are almost endless and keep us very busy. Believe everyone who says that they love it here because it really is the truth. You will be very happy if you move here. We are.

I just have one regret about moving here --- I didn't do it sooner! Of all my friends that have retired, my life here is far more satisfying than theirs. I have been more active than ever before. If you can't find something here that you like to do, then you can start it.

Things I don't like
Sales doesn't always spell things out during purchase phase. You find out there might be add'l costs for services sort of misrepresented by sales. The Lakehuse should have been bigger from the get-go. Seems like it was built to accommodate only the number of northside residents at the time it was built. Landscaping is a joke, "not our job" being the common answer. Summit says they are not responsible for the berms in the common area. Who is? We pay a lot of money for services but not all is covered, more alacarte.

Fantastico! Incredible amenities!
The amenities here are second to none. The homes are affordable, residents are friendly, and the community is diverse (singles and couples, all political persuasions, many etnnicities and races). Simply the perfect community if you want to stay active. I explored and visited many 55+ "active" communities along the east coast, from Delaware to Georgia, and nothing compared.

I love Sun City, but can I stay here?
When we purchased our home in 2001, we were told that the HOA fees would remain stable due to more and more buildouts and sales. We were fine with the HOA fees then. In the not too distant future, we will not be able to afford the HOA fees! The attitude at Board meetings seemed to always be, "goodbye and good luck" when a concerned resident brought up the subject. Also, 2 non-related people should be able to live together and share expenses. Many man/woman non-married couples do this...yet it is not "legal" in Sun City. This sharing arrangement would help single women, especially, to make it financially.

Uncertain Future
The filters are extremely difficult to replace as they are in the ceiling and suppose to be changed every month. Poor water temp control. Rude volunteers at golf courses. Many interesting things to do. Contractors speed everywhere in Sun City. Not very good at supporting medical needs of an aging population. OK place to live. Would like a little more diversity in where residents come from, but that is beyond your control. Short changing residents on amenities. Need more softball and pickle ball courts in south end, around Hidden Cypress. Needs to be incorporated, or thought given to the fact part of Sun City is in a city and another part is only in a county. Eventually will cause problems. Does Del Webb exist or is it all Pulte?

We got what we expected and much more!!!
We bought our villa in 2000 and rented it out until we moved here permanently in 2008. After remodeling and updating the villa we really enjoy the convenient lay-out for hosting friends as well as allowing both spouses to pursue interests or have space at the same time in different areas. We are located close to Town Square and take part in all that is offered. The amenities and facilities are "top-notch". We are very happy with the lifestyle choice we made to move to Sun City Hilton Head.

Best decision we made.....
We bought a resale versus new build to benefit from mature landscaping; without a doubt the best decision we made involving our retirement. We love the well thought out landscape plan when Sun City was built. The area where we live has absolutely gorgeous trees and shrubs....it adds to the ambience we fell in love with. The activities available are fantastic and encourage new friendships. We were introduced to the community by friends who had already bought and, as a result of visiting with them on many occasions before house hunting, we were able to meet other residents and become acquainted with the community. This made our transition so much easier and enjoyable.

more light is needed at night.
Trees should be at least 25 feet away from a lamp post in order to give off the light intended. So don't just trim the trees take out those trees that are blocking the light.
Put some reflector tape on the exit gate and post on the Bull Hill / 170 exit.....thanks

Sun City Hilton Head - the BEST possible
I'm a widowed 75-year old active woman, and I can't think of a better place to spend my retirement years. From the facilities, beauty, management, and variety of activities, Sun City HH is complete.
Proximity to Hilton Head, Savannah, Beaufort are nice for a change, but I pretty much stay "on campus" and take advantage of a great deal that is offered right here at home.
If one is going to be alone in her senior years, this is the place to be.

Thanks for asking our input!
Thank you for the opportunity to give input.
We are very active in the "lifestyle" and enjoy the assorted activities... especially the golf and fitness and the many club facilities.
We enjoy the "Nature Trail" and "Town Square" walking trails. (We are typical of the "active seniors" here! :-)
We bought a Del Webb "resale" and are very pleased with the home plan and space. The new homes we've visited also offer lovely interior options.
The reason we rated the "home design" a neutral (not satisfied or dissatisfied) is 2-fold:
1. Some of the newer homes do not have much 'green space' and the lovely first impression of SCHH is turned into "little boxes" that look like an attempt to "get as many in as possible", rather than offering the gracious and eco-friendly active lifestyle origionally presented.
2. Being active seniors, we would like to see more bicycle-trails created.
It is dangerous to have to bike on busy roads, especially with so many commercial vehicles, when we try to get to the few bike paths available... Please create more bike-ways here.
Thank you for asking our opinions.

Too much whiz and not enough bang
We live in the Riverbend Neighborhood, which consists of custom homes, so can't rate the Del Webb homes. However, the pool, restrooms, lodge and general upkeep of Riverbend seems to be at the bottom of the list. Since Wentworth has taken over the bathrooms are filthy and there aren't any paper towels or toilet paper on most days. The pool is in dire need of cleaning and repair, yet on the Main Campus everything is well maintained. The facilities were in beautiful condition when we bought here 8 years ago, but no longer.

I love living in Sun City
I enjoy living here however it is sometimes difficult to get around.
Perhaps a small jitney ( a van which had a regular route and pick up
schedule.) As the population ages (80s,90. etc) it becomes difficult to drive.
In short a regular transportation within Sun City would be a great
addition to the many amenities and enable residents to take more
advantage of all Sun City offers.

Should not be advertised as active adult community as you must be retired to take advantage of most benefits.
My wife and I still work full time (we are both under 65) and watch our neighbors play while we are 9-5ing it all week. Only have weekends and those are mostly spent doing house chores.

Not too much fun here!
While the plantation is well laid out, the activities appear to be only for a select few. People have come here, and move. Why? Because of the rejection they feel in this community. I myself avail myself of very few activities. People here believe they are "special" and cannot be nice to newcomers. When we first arrived, my wife and I attempted to go to several parties, where backs were turned and people ignored our overtures of friendships. Consequently, we stopped going. What a shame! This place could be the most wonderful spot on earth, however, with people like this, who needs to be miserable. My counterparts from the church and numerous others including myself are leaving! Why not go out of your way to be friendly to a newcomer, instead of deliberately rejecting a fellow human being? We all need each other!

Most beautiful place, people unfriendly!
This community is one of the most beautiful places on earth; however, it is not welcoming to newcomers. (And I am not a newcomer!) It is indeed cliquey, elitist, and there are numerous homes for sale because of this reason. While there are numerous activities in which to partake, there are only a few individuals who are welcoming when you attend. It is not just me; I have heard these types of remarks from other individuals who are relocating. The "Active Lifestyle" appears to be only for a select few; management, while they cannot control everything, must make some attempt to be inclusive of all people, particularly newcomers, so they do not have to suffer the rejection and exclusion that myself and many others have experienced. If you do not seek friendships outside the gates, one has no friendships at all.

More Where This Came From
My husband brought me here to spend time at the beach. However, because there are so many opportunities offered in Sun City we need not step into the greater Bluffton community if we do not want to do so. Sun City is an easy place to meet people. I am amazed by where people come from and what they did in their previous life. I value the way people share their expertise within various clubs. Ours is an ever growing, changing community of folks helping each other increase quality of life intellectually, physically, and socially. I am fortunate to live in Sun City Hilton Head.

Fun in hte sun
Great and relaxing environment. Have accomplished a less stressful life. There is plenty to do. I'm grateful for my "new" life. Sun City is not perfect. If seems to be caught in the grip of many handlers. It takes a long time to get some things done. It's been nearly a year since officers were informed that the card room would be done over. Cabinets provided. Painting. Many have talked about the lighting outside the card room. Need additional light or trimming of trees. Can't keep traffic from passing thru some neighborhoods that connect to main roads. Have asked for signs. Told they don't work. Can't do anything. Why isn't this dealt with thru the sub-contractors and association. They need to adhere to community rules.

Don't believe everything you see.
Moved in six year ago in April. I was very pleased with everything as was presented. Grounds were well maintained, amenities were exciting and sufficient. Since then Wentworth has taken over and there are unsatisfactory results in all areas. They do not manage, they Dictate. Additional building with increased population needs addditional amenities buildings. An Active Adult Community should NOT have their private pool hours taken away for the use for children. Then there are days where the pool is closed due to human contamination. Build a children's pool. The money we pay every month is NOT to increase the salaries of Wentworth Employees, of which there are too many bosses. Another management company would be a wise choice after the Community votes on them. We have no say on any of this. At meetings where we are given the microphone, if we touch a subject that is taboo the sound has been turned off.WE are told what to do and that is the end of it.

My husband is disabled from a stroke and we find there is no way he can participate in activities he would enjoy because things are not set up to accommodate handicapped people. He would like to play pickleball, bocci, fish, play golf, do something in the woodworking shop, etc. We have only been here for almost 3 years and we love it. Most of the people we have met are wonderful. We love our home and find it meets most of our needs. Our home is so cozy and comfortable. In plain English, a GREAT place to live!
If anyone is bored here, it is their own fault. There are plenty of activities and clubs to keep anyone busy. We have made more friends here than we have ever had. The entire cummunity is kept in tip top shape, so we admire it EVERYTIME we drive around, especially with the much slower golf cart. It gives us a much longer time to enjoy the beauty of Sun City.
But we do have one complaint. The berm in back of our property is NOT very well maintained, probably because it is not visible from Sun City Blvd! There is a patch, about 6' X 18' of the berm that is just plain dead grass! The irrigation lines are exposed and the berm is rarely watered. When it is watered, it is only for about 10 minutes.

Resident since 2009
We have been here since Jan 2009. We have met many people since we are here. However is I were to say we met any close friends I would have to say only a few.
I find it all depends on where you are from. There is a social bond with people you meet from where you are from.
I have found that you have to go out and find couples who enjoy the same things you do.
I have also found and I dont like .....certain people think because you have met them and social with them that they should be included in everything you do. At times I feel like I am in High School again and that I dont like.

Lake House Lacking
The Lake House Community Center, while very nice, is lacking in that the locker rooms for both men and women are way too small to accommodate the numbers attempting to use them.
Lake House outdoor pool lacks lighting for evening use, therefore having to close at dusk. Not very good planning. The other community pools do not have this issue.
The golf clubhouse at Argent Lakes (pro shop) is very small and has no facility to serve food, no hot or cold sandwiches etc. Here again, not very good planning. Overall pleased, with some exceptions.

We have found the people in Sun City to be warm, friendly and very active-biking, kayaking, walking, swimming, hiking. Love the free library full of books to read as well as the dog park and the amazing art center.

Life is Great!
Living a dream and loving every minute of it. Feels like I am on vacation every day of the year in paradise! Sun City Hilton Head offers a great lifestyle that has interests and activities for all with a community of great people that care.
What I like most about Sun City is it has created a full time job of playing and having fun since retiring....and I thought I would miss working!!!! I love the people here!
I wish someone would have told me that there isn't enough time in the day to do everything here!

don't judge a book by its cover.
fiscal responsability seems to be lacking here by the people running wentworth. an example would be the outrageous cost of the new bocci courts. they spend our money without our input. this has to stop. they want to do rediculous surveys that are not wanted or needed.

Active lifestyle helps to keep us young
The friendships we have developed have made for an active social life full of both physical, mental and spiritual activities that nurture our daily lives. We look forward to softball, golf and the use of the pools and fitness centers. We were fortunate to be able to retire in our late 50s and after twelve years of retirement, we look forward to many more years of happiness.

Great place to live
Lake House locker room is way too small - hard for 2 people to use it at the same time and
Remodeled locker room at Purrysburg has too many lockers at the expense of open area - We really didn't need the additional lockers at the expense of space - Golf driving ranges could be enhanced with later closing and target areas for aiming - Hidden Cypress would be improved if it were flattened so the landing area could be seen from the hitting area

I love living in the Low Country! Our choice of SCHH sealed the deal. Our amenities and lifestyle choices are enviable. Everywhere I travel they know of Sun City Hilton Head. I have made new lifetime friends and have led a very active lifestyle! Outside the gate is the new Bluffton. A blooming diverse town, surrounded by restaurants and shops. Old Town Bluffton is home to many seasonal festivals and invites walking tours at anytime. One can enjoy an art exhibit, Farmers market, meal and a glass of wine should you choose. Wonderful Active Adult Community
This community is beautiful and the amenities are "top notch". We really did move here for the lifestyle, which maybe overstating the obvious. If you are looking for a unique and special house, you might want to consider a community where you can custom build. The Riverbend section of Sun City allows you to do that. If you are looking to have world class amenities, more clubs and activities than you can imagine, then this is the place for you.

We love the community and all of it's rules...they are one of the reasons we moved here...but we can't quite understand why there is so much close-mindedness to changing or amending any of them. We are referring to access to a back gate pass for relatives that live nearby. Anyhow, other than that, Sun City has met most of our expectations and we are happy to be here!

Best Bang for the BUCK
We have had very favorable experiences since moving to Sun City/Hilton Head.
The people living here are quite friendly and are there to offer assistance to those who may need it. Not found on the "outside". We all have similar life experiences and therefore have many common interests.
We enjoy having so many activities and excellent facilities of which to take advantage.
We're, as are many others, concerned about continual increases in the HOA fees and the impact that may have on many of us being able to stay here???

The biggest suprise to me was how great it is living with people of my own generation. We have so many things in common (music, arthritis, grandkids, sense of humor, lust for life)it feels like you're with college buddies again. Many of us come from the same places, which is lots of fun to compare notes about. And the group activities are wonderful. But it is also possible to "do Nothing" if that's what you want your retirement to be. Something for everyone!

We play golf, read, go out to eat, including at the BOP, which is very good. We are looking forward to Hidden Cypress being open for business. We have more friends here than we ever had, and we have found that we need to save one day a week just for ourselves. Love it, 17 years and never a regret.
Only 30 or so families were here when we arrived in 1995. We established great relationships with wonderful new and very talented new friends. In those early days we all knew each other and everyone seemed busy with new ideas for activities and clubs of interest to form. What we enjoy most is that you are free to be as active and involved as you wish. Slowing down a bit after 17 years but still having concern for each others well being.

A visit to Paradise
There is the weather and proximity to restaurants and shopping, and all the varied activities inside and outside Sun City, but the best part of living in Sun City of Hilton Head are the people who live in the community. I have developed strong friendships as well as friendly acquaintances through clubs and the neighborhood that were lost once I retired up north. With all people in a relative age group living in one place, we can find so many others with similiar interests all in one place. The friends i have made are true friends and the best support group.

TOO LARGE for my Satisfaction
The community is much larger than I was told it would be at the time of my home purchase. That is very disappointing to me.
The Hidden Cypress pool is overcrowded much of the time due to the number of residents it has to accommodate on this side of the community.
Also, privileges are being given to children at the Hidden Cypress pool for too much time on Fridays and Sundays - busiest days at the pool. Many residents work and only have the weekends to enjoy the pool. If one lives close to Hidden Cypress and chose their lot because of that, why, then should I have to drive to another pool for relaxation. I have written several communications to the Board of Directors regarding this matter, but to no avail.
The reason I chose to live at Sun City Hilton Head was because it was a 55+ community. I chose this development for ME, not to entertain my children or grandchildren. When guests come here, they should be happy with any privilege given to them. The resident should not be the one inconvenienced. The hours of 10 AM to 1 PM was perfectly satisfactory to my daughter and her child. They also enjoyed going to the beach since it is so close to our development.
Another issue is the Association dues which has risen considerably since I moved into SCHH in 2005. I question all the work done by the Greenery - mowing, trimming, and pine straw being put down so often. While I do believe in things being kept very neat, some of the work is excessive. I walk every day and observe the number of workers and what they are doing.
With all things considered, had I known what I now know, I wouldn't have built a home at Sun City Hilton Head. I was TOLD at the time of purchase that development would not go beyond Murray Hill section. I looked at several other Del Webb communities in Georgia and upstate SC and probably would have chosen a community similar to the size of those communities.

Bluffton is a perfect setting for an adult community. Quiet, serene, yet close to all food stores, tourism and shopping. My only complaint would be the health care. More doctor specialist and emergency medical centers would be appropriate for a senior community.

Too many shortcuts taken in building.
This is a wonderful place to live and learn to do lots of new things. I enjoy my house, but wish it had better windows as they make the house quite drafty. The framing in the wall is not squared and some corner tiles in the bathroom are cut at odd angles. The floors were not leveled properly which made the tiles crack. The ends of the kitchen island were not finished in birch to match the cabinets. A veneer plywood was used, which looks cheap. You are buying for the location, not the house.

We have found living in Sun City to exceed our expectations. To be able to hop into our own golfcart and play three different courses here in SCHH is wonderful. Grandchildren love to visit and enjoy with us the many amenities. In only 1/2 hour we can be at the ocean, an airport or Savannah, yet within our gates is paradise! But the very best part of living here is the ease of meeting others and making lasting friendships.

All this, and Heaven, too!
We moved here in the spring of 2004. We had dreamed of retiring here, but never thought it would be possible. When we became permanent residents, it truly seemed like paradise to us. My husband passed away just before Christmas, 2012. He has often said he had never been happier than when we moved here. I cannot think of anywhere else I would rather be. Some of the things I enjoy most are the security, tranquility, and the beautiful surroundings. I love knowing that there are amenities for every imaginable pursuit, and yet the peace to just enjoy my home in privacy. We have wonderful neighbors in the community and love the area where we are located. The small town atmosphere and proximity to city life are ideal.

The best place I could have ever found
Our Del Webb community is now a Pulte community. We feel the original Del Webb homes are a better value and were much better constructed. We live in a Del Webb home. However, one of the complaints is that whenever new homes are designed and built, the older homes are talked down, downgraded, made to look inferior. I guess this is to sell the new homes to new residents.

Get Premier Amenities You Can Afford
You cannot beat the amenities in Sun City Hilton Head: multiple indoor and outdoor heated pools, multiple superb golf courses of varying difficulty, bocce courts, tennis, croquet, you name it it's here or will be soon.
My attraction are the Fitness Centers with new Nautilus equipment to meet every conceivable need.
Volunteer security personnel have kept the annual assessment very reasonable; over the last 12 years of ownership here, they've increased nominally only as the cost of insurance, for example, necessitated the increase.
The gated communities (some manned) can compete with any upscale Hilton Head Island upscale developments for safety of homeowners.
The landscaping is awesome and well maintained.
The diversity among homeowners, many with highly polished skills, to include entertainment, adds a distinctive touch to this age-restricted lifestyle. That's what you buy here: an active lifestyle so varied, that if you get bored, you have only yourself to criticize.
The only drawback: a couple of weeks in July (when residents typically visit their families up north) when the humidity and heat can take your breath away. But then, that's high season for the beach lovers, with the ocean only about 1/2 hour's drive away at Hilton Head Island.
In summary, Sun City Hilton Head has all the benefits of any upscale resort on Hilton Head Island without the challenges that might arise with only one bridge connecting the Island to the mainland. Even the variety of excellent restaurants abound. If you want a custom-built home, check out Riverbend, one of Sun City Hilton Head's community of 300 home/lot owners.

Runners are not allowed at SC HHI
When I bought my new house at Sun City Hilton Head over 4 years ago, I was assured by the Sales Professionals that I would be able to jog anywhere in Sun City other than Golf course and Cart path and private property. I asked about the Nature Trail and was told there were no problems jogging on it. And I was able to jog until someone or group CHANGED the rules. I would have reconsidered my decision. I know of nowhere in the Hilton Head Area where jogging has been denied to the public/private people. In all your adds, Sun City is said to be pro-atheletic/health community. Not so and I am telling all my outside friends.

Plenty of whiz, and a lot of bang!
We have lived in SCHH for 8.5 years. We are still as excited now about living here as we were when we first moved in. We loved SCHH when we first moved here, and we love it just as much 8.5 years later. The amenities are fabulous, there are plenty of events, clubs, and facilities, to accomodate all sorts of activities. If anyone is bored living here they only have themselves to blame. I can't imagine anywhere else having a great lifestyle like we have here, and the variety of activities that we have. This place is a great community to live in. Plus, even though this area of the country is not the cheapest place in the world to live, the property taxes are very low,in comparison to other areas in the country, or at least in the northeast. There are many people here who have moved from the northeast part of the country.

Great basics--time for the 21st century
Living in SCHH we have enormous amounts of sun and an excellent growing climate. So:
1) would be great to see a move to solar panels for water and heat.
2) would be a wonderful use of the resources to have MORE garden space for community gardens NOT UNDER THE POWER LINES! Is it possible to rethink some of the landscape spaces--which use alot of water, fertilizer and other resources as potential garden sites? Given the growing understanding of health and fresh vegetables, why not make Sun City a leader in sustainable life styles?
3) Can we rethink the use of sidewalks/bicycle paths? As the population evolves and more and more residents want to bike, there is a mixed message...are the sidewalks for pedestrians or bikes? And, how can we support safer biking at night---and recognize the health and resource benefits of promoting safe biking in the Sun Cities...
Thank you!

We have been here almost 2 years and feel like we are living in a resort. We haven't found time to travel as we did before because we are involved in several clubs. Every afternoon, I walk my dog around the Town Square and meet other walkers who stop and chat. This is the most friendly place I've ever lived. We just regret we didn't purchase here 14 years ago when we first visited. You can be as involved as you like and the friends you make will be friends for life. We love how we are kept informed of all that is going on in the community. Love it here!

An awesome community; whole new life.
The people drawn to this community are incredible as are its amenities, lifestyle and beautiful grounds. Those are the things we enjoy most about this community.
It would be reassuring if families could look to a resource within this community for guidance in dealing with the unexpected or forced changes in one's lifestyle. We believe that most people want to remain here and participate as they are able.

Don't judge a book by its cover.
People are friendly. The grounds are beautiful and impress guests. The community is larger than I was led to believe leaving the amenities crowded. Finding room time for some activities is difficult. Since I moved in the cost of classes has almost doubled.

There is more than meets the eye
Wish I knew about how two of the three resident board members are being allowed to micro manage the committee's. They are out of control and being allowed to do so by the rest of the board. You are going to continue to have problems and openings on your committee's if this is allowed to continue.
We love Sun City in spite of the above that is being permitted.

Good but could be made better!
There were features that were shown however not made available when we purchased our home. EG: vented kitched hoods, laundry sink in laundry room. We would like to have added recessed lighting when we built our home...done afterwards at a much higher cost. Window mullens were removed from the rear of our home.

Life after retirement is fantastic
My wife and I moved into Sun City from PA not knowing a single person. Fourteen people on our block all moved onto our street within three weeks. Today, they are all our best friends and we do everything together. You meet new and interesting people from all over the country.

I like it, but...
I love living here but I wish floor plans & options wouldn't change so fast. There are things available 3 mos after we closed that we would've liked. Also, unlike the other 3 outdoor pools in the community, ours is the only one not heated, we all wish it was. I personally hope Pulte never pulls out of the community once built out. Love our house, love the community & overall would recommend this community to family and friends.

expand sevices
need a marina or allow crabing docks to be built on marsh lots. golf opportunities excellent as are tennis and gym facilities, would be helpful to expand on amenities reachable by golf cart, restaurants, big box stores(walmart) or provide public transportation to these entities.( including gov't services.)

It's a Wonderful Life in Sun City!
We have been extreemly pleased with Sun City. The amenities are fantastic and the overall friendliness of everyone is amazing. I do wish they had an additional resturant here and that the Lakehouse outdoor pool was heated.

Wish there was better shopping nearby. Not happy to have to go to Savannah, GA to shop in a mall.

Great Place to Live
My biggest problem here is the lack of sidewalks. Only the main streets have sidewalks requiring those of us who like to walk to use the very dangerious practice of walking in the street. Not Good!! Other than that we've been very happy with everything over the last eight years.

Not your average 55+ community
There is so much to do in the community that at times I feel guilty that I don't advatage more opf the all the activities. If you can't find some club or group in this community, I would be greatly surprised. The people here are very active and friendly -- we all look out for each other and making friends is not an issue.

Nice place to retire
We enjoy living in Sun City. It is clean, well maintained, lots to do. Love the clubs and all the activities as well as the entertainment that is brought in and locally produced. Met some real nice people. Nice place to retire.

We should have moved years ago!
While our house was beautifully built and on-time, there were a few minor things that needed warranty, as our first year approached. We are so pleased with the quick response and friendly manner that our warranty items were corrected. At the end of the day, what really matters is we are just as happy with our home now, as we were happy when we bought it. I recommend Del Webb as your builder.
