Chuck and Linda Castle
Longtime Southern Nevada residents and property management specialists, Chuck and Linda Castle, weren’t even looking for a new home, when they discovered the home and location of their dreams at Del Webb’s Club at Madeira Canyon neighborhood.
We were living in a very nice neighborhood in the southeast valley, but knew that one day we would like to find a luxurious single-story home in community that offered a unique and more suburban-feeling location, said Linda Castle. One day, we happened to be driving through the Madeira Canyon community and, on a whim, decided to stop and look at the models at the Club at Madeira Canyon. As soon as we saw the neighborhood and walked into the Andora model, it was love at first sight. It was the home we had always talked about owning someday. We both said, ‘We have to do this.’
The Castles’ first impression upon entering the Club at Madeira Canyon was the unique architecture of the homes and the overall community.
We have traveled extensively through Europe and what we saw at Madeira Canyon was reminiscent of some of the finest Mediterranean villas we had seen, Linda said. Another attraction for us is that The Club at Madeira Canyon offers 11 models - each with a choice of elevation styles and colors - which creates more of a custom feel, where no two homes look exactly alike.
We also love the elevation of the area and the scenic views from various vantage points within the community and were pleased to be able to select a home site that gives us views of both the Las Vegas city lights and the nearby mountains.
The Andora design the Castles selected at The Club at Madeira Canyon is a 2,096 square-foot single story home that features two bedrooms, a den, a large great room, two baths and a 3-car garage. An optional casita can replace the separate 1-car garage.
We loved the Andora immediately because upon entering the home, you walk into an immense and open great room area, said Linda. We’ve always liked homes that do not have a lot of walls and halls and the Andora is a tremendously open and livable home. It is very comfortable for everyday living, as well as entertaining. With two bedrooms and a casita, we also have the extra space we need when relatives come to visit.
Since moving into their new home, the Castles have enjoyed every aspect of The Club at Madeira Canyon, including the community clubhouse and the social fabric they discovered within the community.
Coincidentally, said Chuck Castle, the first day we visited Club Madeira, Del Webb was hosting an open house at the clubhouse that evening and invited us to stop by. We did, and were surprised to meet quite a few people we knew who were already living here. That made it seem even more like buying a home here was meant to be for us. Since that time, we have met lots of other neighbors and they are very genuine and wonderful people to be around.
We both enjoy using the clubhouse facilities on a regular basis as well. In fact, I work out every other day and have lost 15 pounds since we’ve been here, Chuck added with a smile. The clubhouse is magnificent, in terms of both its facilities and the social events held there for people of all ages.
The couple was also pleased with services they received from the Del Webb sales and customer relations staff.
This is the first home we ever bought from Del Webb and we couldn’t be happier with the service we received, said Linda. The representatives of this company are just fabulous, in terms of their knowledge, responsiveness and genuine concern about your satisfaction as a homebuyer. We’re very happy about our decision to buy a home here and would certainly recommend The Club at Madeira Canyon and Del Webb to other homebuyers.

Scott and Bridgette Cravens
Longtime Southern Nevada residents, Scott and Bridgette Cravens had lived in the southeast valley for many years and during that time, they enjoyed casually looking at new neighborhoods and communities as they emerged in the area. Having owned two homes over the years, they were ready to move up to a more elegant floor plan and community, ultimately finding exactly what they wanted at Del Webb’s Club at Madeira Canyon.
We began to feel a little crowded in our former home and neighborhood, so we started looking around various areas south of us, including The Club at Madeira Canyon, said Scott Cravens, a senior major account executive for IKON Office Systems, a supplier of digital office equipment and software products. When we drove into The Club at Madeira Canyon we immediately liked the ambiance of the community, the quiet, suburban feel, the beautiful clubhouse and on-site recreational facilities, and the wonderful views from various vantage points within the development. Another attraction for us is that The Club at Madeira Canyon offers so many distinctive models, with various elevation styles and colors, which creates more of a custom-feeling neighborhood.
We also thought the pricing was very competitive, considering the quality of the homes and surrounding community, he added. It just made sense for us to seriously consider buying a home here.
Next, the Cravens toured the model homes at Club at Madeira Canyon and found their perfect floor plan in the Ancona design, a two-story home that features five bedrooms, four baths and approximately 4,378 square feet of living space. The first floor of the home has a large family room and combined dining room and living room, plus one bedroom and full bath. There is also an option for a den or office. The second floor features the master suite and three additional large bedrooms, all with walk-in closets. The home also has three full baths and a game room or optional bedroom six plus loft. It also comes with a large covered front and side porch, as well as a covered rear patio.
We love the floor plan design and spaciousness of the Ancona design, said Cravens. It’s perfect for a family, including the spacious family room, which opens off the kitchen, the open living areas, the huge master suite and the large secondary bedrooms. The home has a wonderful flow to it and we find it equally comfortable for day-to-day living as well as entertaining. We were also pleased to be able to get a large home site with scenic views of the nearby mountains.
The Cravens were very impressed with the features that were included in their home, as well as the customer service they received from the Del Webb staff.
Del Webb offers a long list of desirable features that are included in the base price, Cravens said. Things like stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and quality cabinetry and fixtures are incorporated throughout the homes, so there is really little or no need to upgrade.
As far as customer service, he added, the professionals at Club at Madeira Canyon are very friendly, knowledgeable and responsive throughout our home buying process. They are excellent, top-notch and patient people. Based on our experience, we are very happy with our decision to buy a home at The Club at Madeira Canyon and would certainly recommend this neighborhood and Del Webb to others.

David and Karen Eisenberg
When David and Karen Eisenberg were ready to relocate from Anchorage, Alaska to Southern Nevada, they were already well-familiarized with the local real estate market, having lived in Las Vegas for seven years previously.
Today, the Eisenbergs are happy to be back in Southern Nevada and thrilled with the home and community they found at Del Webb’s Club at Madeira Canyon.
“Although we had left Las Vegas, we loved the lifestyle, so we bought two vacation homes here,” said David Eisenberg, a strategy, marketing and communications consultant. “While living out-of-state, we would frequently visit Las Vegas, always with our eyes on the market for a permanent residence. It took us about two years to find the right home,” David continued. “We did extensive research and looked at literally dozens of developments.”
“We were familiar with Del Webb through its age-qualified Sun City properties,” said Karen Eisenberg, a self-employed jewelry designer. “The great reputation of Del Webb, coupled with Pulte’s history in building energy efficient homes caused us to look more closely at what they had to offer at The Club, their community for all-ages.”
“When we arrived at The Club at Madeira Canyon, we felt it had everything we wanted,” Karen continued. “Great floor plans, the availability of incredible lots with breathtaking views, a wonderful clubhouse with a fitness center, and a secure, guard-gated environment.“
The Club at Madeira Canyon’s recreational amenities and social opportunities were attractive to the couple. “The social aspect of this community is just wonderful,” said Karen. “Del Webb makes a point to schedule gatherings designed for neighbors to have fun and get to know each other.”
The Eisenbergs chose the Marabella design at Club at Madeira Canyon. “In defining our search criteria, we knew we wanted a single story home with an open feel and a flow conducive to comfortable day-to-day living as well as entertaining,” said David. “With the Marbella’s layout, we can move easily from indoors to out and see phenomenal views from virtually every room. We also like the separation between the master bedroom and the secondary bedrooms. Additionally, the quality of construction and energy efficiency of these homes is incredible. Since moving in, we’ve noticed a significant decrease in our power bills compared to other homes we have owned. We were also impressed that so many features in the home were actually included in the base price,” added Karen. “There are so many decisions to make in buying a home and we appreciated the inclusion of items such as high-end appliances and other appointments. It eliminated unnecessary layers of complexity and helped streamline the building process, especially since we were still living in Alaska while our home was being built.”
The couple also appreciated the services they received from the Del Webb sales and customer service team. “They were incredible, especially our customer relations manager, who has been the key to our delight,” David said. “We first met her the day we signed our contract and she’s been with us every step of the way. The Del Webb team addressed every issue and concern before, during and after the building process and that process was laid out very clearly to us from the beginning. They are efficient, customer-focused people and it is obvious that they are extremely proud of their company and the homes and services they provide to home buyers.”
“We feel we received an excellent value in purchasing our home in Club at Madeira Canyon and it is certainly the most well-constructed home in which we’ve ever lived,” David added. “We couldn’t be happier with our experience.”
Keith Fulton and Sandy Martinez-Fulton
Former Houston Texas residents, Sandy Martinez-Fulton and her husband Keith Fulton could not be happier with the home and community they found at Del Webb’s Club at Madeira Canyon. For several years prior to moving here, the couple had been visiting Southern Nevada casually looking at new neighborhoods and primarily intent on building a custom home before discovering The Club at Madeira Canyon. There, they found the level of quality construction, energy efficiency, personalized service and customization opportunities offered by Del Webb to be irresistible.
“When we were ready to permanently relocate, we focused on the Las Vegas area and searched throughout the valley, including some of the most exclusive custom neighborhoods,” said Martinez-Fulton, who with her husband owns Fulton Communications. “However, no matter where we looked, something was always lacking and we kept finding ourselves coming back to The Club at Madeira Canyon. It offered everything we wanted – from the views, to the luxurious floor plan designs; the meticulous craftsmanship, the unsurpassed energy efficiency, plus the opportunity to highly personalize our home to our particular taste and lifestyle. It was, hands down, the best we could find in the valley in terms of location, value, convenience and flexibility.”
Martinez-Fulton said some of the first aspects that struck the couple about The Club at Madeira Canyon were the location, the community’s recreational amenities, the extraordinary views from the area, and the home site they chose. Said Martinez-Fulton, “We moved in last December and my husband, Keith, often comes home and says, ‘I still have to pinch myself. I can’t believe what we’ve got here.’”
The couple chose the Firenze design, the largest home design offered at The Club. “The Firenze is perfect for ‘who we are,’” Martinez-Fulton said. “It is a large luxurious home with balconies in the front and rear, wonderful open living areas, spacious bedrooms and so many features you would generally expect to find only in a custom home. It offers a wonderful living environment for the two of us, plus has the extra space we need when our children and friends visit from out of town. We made a very careful decision in choosing the Firenze design and we’ve never looked back. Everything about it works just right for us.”
Martinez-Fulton emphasized that the services the couple received from the Del Webb staff were “superior” in every way.
“Superior is not a word I use lightly, but it is the only way I can describe the service provided by everyone involved in the process of purchasing and building our home,” she said. “From the moment we walked into the sales pavilion we were treated with the utmost courtesy, never felt rushed or pressured and were kept informed on the progress of the construction of our home at all times. It was clear to us that the employees of Del Webb are very happy with their jobs because without happy employees, they could never achieve the level of quality and customer satisfaction they do.”
“We got to meet the subcontractors who worked on our home; we were encouraged to take our time in making any decisions regarding upgrades, colors and other design features; and whenever we had questions or requests they were all addressed immediately. The service we received before, during, and after the sale has been beyond anything we’ve ever experienced in the past.”
“Overall, we believe we received a custom quality home and a value that was unmatched in the valley,” she added.
Roger and Debbie Hawkins
When Roger and Debbie Hawkins were ready to relocate from England, they began searching throughout the Southern Nevada community for the best home, location and lifestyle for their family of five. The couple spent nearly eight months looking throughout the Las Vegas valley before finding their perfect home and community at The Club at Madeira Canyon by Del Webb.
We started looking in March of 2007, however we were just coming over for seven to 10 days at a time, said Roger Hawkins, who relocated to Southern Nevada to serve as Chief Executive Officer in charge of operations across the Americas for TCSJOHNHUXLEY, a company with offices worldwide. Being from overseas, we tried to visit as many developments as possible during each visit and pretty much went to every neighborhood that offered homes within our price range. Our Realtor, Ron Mortvedt, worked very hard for us as a family in trying to find the perfect home for us all to be happy in.
Ultimately, nothing the Hawkins looked at compared to what they had discovered at The Club at Madeira Canyon by Del Webb.
Having looked at many homes and neighborhoods, and then visiting The Club at Madeira Canyon sales information center, we immediately saw that the quality of the homes was far superior to the other builders we had considered, Hawkins said. The finishes and appointments were of a higher standard and the excellent warranties and sales service made this a natural choice for us.
The icing on the cake, Hawkins added, was the beauty of this community, with a fully equipped fitness center, swimming pool, spa, tennis courts, basketball court and lovely grassed off areas for family walks and bike rides. It’s just a lovely living environment.
The Hawkins were especially pleased with the home they selected at Club at Madeira Canyon.
We got an excellent value on a large two-story home, with five bedrooms - each with its own bath, plus an additional half bath, he said. It’s a home that offers plenty of space for the five of us, as well as extra room we need when friends and family visit us from England.
It is amazing how popular we have become with people back home in England now that we live in Nevada, he added with a smile.
Hawkins said the couple was also impressed by the level of service they received from the Del Webb sales and customer service people.
Our sales agent was truly brilliant and looked after every detail for us during our purchase, Hawkins said. She helped us on so many levels to be sure that everything went as smoothly as possible. In fact, everyone we worked with at Del Webb was great. We are very happy with our decision to choose Del Webb and The Club at Madeira Canyon. Every aspect of buying and living in our home has been wonderful.
