The benefits of our Homeowners Association

One of the best things about living in Equestra is you can relax knowing your community will keep on looking as beautiful as the day you first saw it. That's because your Homeowners Association (HOA) dues help pay for maintaining your community's common areas and amenities. Not only does that help protect your property values, it ensures you'll always be proud to call Equestra your home.


Items covered by the HOA

  • Garbage removal
  • Lawn and landscape maintenance,
  • Snow removal of the streets
  • Driveways and sidewalks
  • 24 hour gated and guarded security
  • Use of the Clubhouse and all neighborhood amenities

  • $320 per month

How is the governing board structured? 
Annual elections are held to determine the 5 board of directors which currently consists of 3 Pulte Group representatives and 2 resident representatives.

What committees contribute to the governing board?
The Finance Committee.

Are all the community activities included in the fees?
Yes. However, there are special events for a fee ranging from $10 - $55/pp.

Does the HOA have a reserve fund?
Yes. Reserve funds are maintained for future repair and replacement of assets that the HOA has long-term responsibility for, and are essential to a successful community. Reserves do not fund everyday expenses or more routine needs; the operating fund serves that.

How often are HOA fees increased?
The budget is reviewed annually and recommendations are made to the board. There has only been 1 increase since the opening of Equestra in 2007.

Does the HOA maintain all the amenities?
Yes, the HOA works with First Service Residential property management to maintain the amenities in the community.

Does the HOA have a community newsletter or intranet site for residents?
There is a monthly Equestra Newsletter to review administrative items for the community and there is also a monthly Lifestyle Guide showcasing the events and trips planned. Home owners do have the opportunity to speak with the lifestyle director for input into the lifestyle guide.

Is there a process in place to get a new club chartered?
Yes. There needs to be a consistent demand for the club and the lifestyle director will work with the charter members to promote the new clubs.

What are the rules for visiting grandchildren?
Grandchildren are not allowed more than 30 overnight stays within a 12 month period.

Are there activities for visiting grandchildren?
No specific activities but there is a play area which includes two play houses with slides, monkey bars etc.
