Kelly Pinkney is the Fun Governor at Bridgewater by Del Webb. On staff full time, Kelly works to provide a variety of activities and events for residents who are looking to live Del Webb's "Legendary Lifestyle". She is a former wedding and event planner who loves meeting new people and putting smiles on everyone's faces. Kelly looks forward to meeting you at the next Bridgewater Lifestyle event!

About the Area

With easy access to I-75, I-275 and Telegraph you’re just a car ride away from Metroparks, museums, the zoo, two malls, and a variety of sporting and entertainment venues. Michigan’s four seasons provide a wealth of ever-changing recreational and entertainment opportunities to keep you active and invigorated.  

Shopping

In real estate and shopping, it’s all about location. You’ll find all the necessities within two miles on the northeast corner of West Road and Telegraph Road. Additionally, Southland and Fairlane Malls are both within 20 minutes. And the metro Detroit area has an array of eclectic boutiques and antique districts for you to browse.

 

Recreation

Cheer on the many and varied professional sports teams at Ford Field, the Palace, and Comerica Park.  Swing your clubs at one of the eleven area golf courses, or try sport fishing and other water activities at the many area lakes. Bridgewater is located within minutes of three area Metroparks for hiking, biking, swimming, tennis, or weekend picnics.

Medical

You’ll have peace-of-mind knowing Henry Ford Downriver Medical Center is located four miles from Bridgewater and the new Henry Ford Brownstown Medical Center with a state-of-the-art cardiac unit is just two miles from Bridgewater. Oakwood Hospital is also close by. 

Culture / Entertainment

When you are looking for something to do, you will be just a short drive from Ann Arbor with its many restaurants, art fairs, U. of M. facilities, and theaters. You’ll also be just a car ride away from a number of historic downtown Detroit theaters, the Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit Zoo, Detroit’s Motown Historical Museum, and Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village in Dearborn.

From Brownstown Township, I-75, I-275 and Telegraph Road/US-24 provide access to any destination in the southeastern Michigan area.

We accompanied Diane’s father, Angelo, on a visit to Bridgewater. He was passively looking for a new place to live and heard about Bridgewater. We had joined him on several occasions to visit other communities in the downriver area but he was reluctant to go too far into the process because of the fear and anxiety of change. Angelo lived in a Cape Cod style home for fifty years, widowed and basically living alone.

Angelo’s fears were put to rest while being introduced to the building concepts and lifestyle opportunities at Bridgewater by Del Webb. It took a couple of trips for him to be comfortable enough to purchase a villa but what happened as a result of these accompanied visits was a blessing for us.

While waiting for Angelo to select a floor plan and fill out the subsequent paperwork, Diane and I toured the models. We also toured the lodge and began to wonder if this was the place for us? We had a long term goal to both retire and move into a condo in ten years.

We loved the models and bought into the lifestyle living concept 100%. We were both in our middle 50s and decided not to wait 10 years to fulfill our retirement dreams. We purchased a Mackinaw home at Bridgewater the following week.

It turned out to be the best move of our lives. We love our home. We are more physically active and take part in many of the lifestyle activities. We have a lot of new friends and are active in community planning and contribute to the newsletter.

"I am a very proud member of the Bridgewater community, and I recommend Bridgewater without question to friends, family, acquaintances and anyone else who will listen. We’ve lived at Bridgewater for more than three years, and expect to live there for the rest of our lives.

We plan to retire in a few years, and already take full advantage of the legendary lifestyle that is available to us at Bridgewater. We have participated in many events, have started a few events ourselves, and have served on the community advisory committee.

This note however is not about us; it is about our over-the-top satisfaction we have with Kelly Pickney and Wally Hedemark.

Kelly handles both day to day details and long term planning for the community. She is professional, positive, enthusiastic, organized, well-spoken, confident, and competent in all areas. I can't imagine anyone ever filling her shoes. Kelly works what seems like endless hours – morning, noon and night, weekdays and weekends. She is there to guide, support, and lead us down the path of our "legendary lifestyle" at Bridgewater.

Wally provides “best in class” property management. He “owns” his responsibilities at Bridgewater and simply does what’s needed, when it’s needed, to provide service that is above and beyond our expectations. With proactive property management and preventative maintenance, Wally helps ensure cost control of association fees - something very important in a community of retirees on fixed incomes.

Wally and Kelly always respond to inquiries as soon as possible and in most cases the same day. They are approachable, reasonable, friendly, and they obviously care a great deal about each of resident of Bridgewater. My sincerest thanks go out to Kelly and Wally!"
