Meet Mark LaClaire, your lifestyle director. Mark's bright, positive nature is the very heart of Village at Deaton Creek, where he enthusiastically develops active adult lifestyle programs for our residents, gets chartered clubs rolling, schedules fitness, art, and educational classes, and books trips and tours both near and far. He also helps manage overall operations at the Club at Deaton Creek—our incredible 35,000-square foot amenity center.

Mark has a true passion and creativity for events. He has been creating and organizing unique and exciting activities all over the Southeast for over 15 years. His “outside the box” thinking makes the events and activities at Village at Deaton Creek exciting, sometimes humorous, and always entertaining. He is full of surprises. Look for the HERS® Index

The Home Energy Rating System (HERS) index was developed by the Residential Energy Service Network (RESNET) and is recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Energy. The index is based on a score of 100 for a typical code-built new home (based on the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code).

Lower energy bills with lower HERS score

The lower the score, the more energy-efficient the home. Each 1-point decrease in the HERS score corresponds to a 1% reduction in consumption—so a home with a HERS score of 85 is 15% more energy efficient than the typical new home and 45% more efficient than a typical existing home.
