Del Webb residents see our incredible amenities as more than buildings, pools, playing surfaces, ball fields and gleaming fitness centers. They see amenities and our many clubs and classes as opportunities to make new friends. And as venues where you might discover a side of yourself you never knew existed.
At Del Webb at Lake Oconee those opportunities present themselves in the 21,000-square-foot recreation center, which offers an indoor pool, fitness center, ballroom, billiards room, arts-and-crafts room, six clay tennis courts, bocce courts, a grandchildren’s park, croquet court, pickle ball courts, resort-style outdoor pool, a lakeside pavilion, and more.

Meet Angela Dysart, Lifestyle Director for Del Webb at Lake Oconee.
Angela's exciting, optimistic nature permeates throughout Del Webb at Lake Oconee. She continually infuses "life" into Lifestyle! Angela enthusiastically develops active adult lifestyle programs for our residents, gets chartered clubs rolling, promotes healthy and active fitness classes, socials, parties, live entertainment & shows, and more!
Angela comes to Georgia via Nebraska, South Carolina, and New Jersey. She grew up in Guilford, Connecticut and spent her college years in New Hampshire and Boston, graduating from Suffolk University with a BA in English and a History Minor. Growing up outside of Manhattan, she has developed a passion for Broadway Theater and Art. At Lake Oconee, Angela can often be spotted on the tennis courts or you will hear her laugh as she socializes with the members. Angela looks forward to your arrival at Lake Oconee!

Staying active is the key to making the most of every life stage. You’ll never run out of intriguing experiences and interesting things to do in your new community. Located in Greensboro Georgia, Del Webb at Lake Oconee has dining, educational, recreational, and shopping just minutes away.
Shopping
Shopping for necessities or niceties, you’ll find many shopping options available in nearby Madison or Athens, as well as many local shops, boutiques, and one-of-a-kind stores right in historic Greensboro, located within minutes from the community. This region is famous for its affordable antique shopping. The Mall at Stonecrest, located about 30 minutes away, also offers a wide array of shopping with five anchor stores: Dillard’s, Kohl’s, JC Penney, Macy’s, and Sears.
Recreation
Del Webb at Lake Oconee is the only Del Webb community in the entire country with direct lake access.
Conveniently located on Lake Oconee, this is considered a major destination area offering spectacular sports and leisure hubs while offering great convenience and travel to preferred destinations, including beaches, mountains, golf courses, and more. Lake Oconee is an oasis of relaxation, recreation and rejuvenation. Experience some of the state’s best fishing, swimming, boating, camping, picnicking, water-skiing, wakeboarding and golfing. The surrounding communities are steeped in history. Locally owned shops and boutiques offer the finest in antiques, fashion, furnishings, decorative accessories and jewelry.
Medical
Expert medical care is never far away. The closest hospital is Putnam General Hospital located approximately 12 miles away in Eatonton, GA. MCG Health, Inc. which is affiliated with Medical College of Georgia, houses an 8,000 square foot ambulatory clinic. The clinic opened January 1, 2005 and is located inside Lake Oconee Village less than two miles away. MCG has proposed a 10,000-square foot outpatient surgery center and regional hospital. In addition to all of the offerings at MCG Health, there is also The Cowles Clinic, a multi-specialty healthcare facility that offers executive healthcare with an oncology and cardiology center.
VA Hospitals in the area include: Atlanta VA Medical Center (66 miles), Decatur, GA; Augusta VA Medical Center (68 miles), Augusta, GA; and Carl Vinson Medical Center (70 miles), Dublin, GA. Outpatient services can be found at Athens Clinic (33 miles) in Athens, GA and Macon Clinic (58 miles), Macon, GA.
Transportation
For your traveling convenience, Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is located approximately 75 miles west from Del Webb at Lake Oconee, and Augusta Regional Airport is just 85 miles east of Greensboro.
Schools
• Greene County Campus of Athens Technical College offers Adult Education Services, located just 14 miles from Lake Oconee.
• August State University Continuing Education Division located in Augusta, GA offers online or classroom continuing education courses.
• University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education in nearby Athens, GA, offers online courses as well as classroom courses.
